University of Pittsburgh
Project Date of completion: September 2017
The University of Pittsburgh Office of Child Development contacted Motor Mouth Multimedia to develop a comprehensive communications and marketing plan for its Positive Racial Identity Development in Early Education (P.R.I.D.E.) report and program. P.R.I.D.E. is a multifaceted initiative helping young Black children ages 3-8 understand and embrace their race, heritage, and culture with dignity and love.
Motor Mouth Multimedia devised a multi-pronged plan, including toolkits, templates and resource guides, to promote the P.R.I.D.E. report and program. The plan included a set of strategies, such as advocacy, media relations and digital communications, as well as community and media directories.
The Office of Child Development hired a full-time communications coordinator to implement the plan, resulting in an engaged audience at program festivals, parent villages and other events.
